BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Tax season is just around the corner, and this year there are some resources to help.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is setting up shop on the Bill Cramer Chevrolet Buick GMC property, in a building in the back of the lot.
This program helps people prepare their tax return for free.
To qualify - you must make less than $66,000 a year, have an email address, social security cards for all people filing and bring in banking information for direct deposit.
They can help you, and you can also help them.
"We can always use more preparers. We'd like to open the service as many Saturdays as we can. You know with this site where we are, it being so visible and so bright, I would like to open the site for longer hours on some days. And we actually are going to do that on one of the days of the week, even though we're nine to three everyday, we're going to stay a little longer on one of the days," said VITA Site Coordinator, Carol Jones.
VITA's doors open on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
