SAFFORD – The Graham County Sheriff’s Office continues to ask the public’s assistance in identifying a child who was found deceased in the Artesia area.
A quail hunter located what turned out to be a deceased girl believed to be between the ages of 13 – 15 in a bag off Artesia Road near the corrals on Oct. 26, 2020. The bag was found partially underwater.
The body was in a state of decomposition, however, with the assistance from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Pima County Office of Medical Examiner, a likeness was generated based on measurements and other information.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children posted the images shown here believed to be the likeness of the deceased child. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information that could identify the victim to call the office at (928) 428-3141 or use its anonymous Text-a-Tip at 79516.
