Anderson, S.C.-- Alex Shirazi threw a one-hit shutout in game one as the Bears swept Anderson on Saturday in the teams first two games of the weekend series. With the wins, the Bears have extended their SAC conference winning streak to nine straight games. Drue Galassi came in leading the SAC in hitting at .475 and added six more hits on the afternoon.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

Game Two Final: Lenoir-Rhyne 9, Anderson 5

STATS OF GAME ONE:
- LR took advantage of four Trojan errors in the first two innings to open a six run lead. E.J. Ranel, Drue Galassi and Will Jones all had RBIs for the Bears during the stretch.
- Xander Ferlenda's RBI single in the third scored Wade Cuda and gave the Bears a 7-0 lead.
- Ranel and Matt Mackey hit sacrifice flies in the 5th and 6th innings to give the Bears a 9-0 lead before adding two more unearned runs in the 6th to end the game 11-0 in six innings.
- Shirazi was the story on the mound as the senior only allowed one hit on the afternoon while striking out six and walking two. Shirazi did not allow an Anderson's base runner to reach third base in the game.
- Galassi went 3-3 in game one for his 5th game with at least three hits.
STATS OF GAME TWO:
- Game two started back and forth as Anderson got the first run in the bottom of the second before Ranel drove in Galassi to tie it at one in the top of the third.
- In the bottom of the third, Anderson took the lead back with an unearned run as the Trojans took advantage of a LR miscue to score without a hit.
- Some two out magic helped the Bears tie in the 5th. With two outs and no one on, Will Jones singled to centerfield before scoring on a Ranel double.
- The Bears opened the game up with a four run sixth. Ferlenda, Bryce Stober and Jones all had RBI singles in the inning to give the Bears a 6-2 lead.
- After Anderson cut the lead to one in the 7th, the Bears answer with a Stober bunt single to score Mike McHugh to give them a 7-5 lead in the 8th.
- Bears then added two more runs on wild pitches in the inning to give them the 9-5 lead.
- Tanner Moyers (2-1) got the win for the Bears in the night cap. Moyers tossed six innings while allowing two earned runs to keep his ERA at 3.00 for the season.
- Bears got zeros out of the bullpen from Ian Foggo, Michael Allen and Ben Friebel.
- The Bears had 16 hits in the night cap lead by Galassi and Ranel with three hits each.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- LR entered the day with the most home runs in all D2 with 37 and fifth in nation in doubles with 42, four off the lead.
- Galassi entered the day on at the top of most offensive categories in the nation. Drue leads the nation in home runs, second in runs scored and total bases and fourth in hits.
- Also Galassi's .475 batting average entering today is the second best in the nation with at-least 50 at-bats this season.
- With six shutout innings, Shirazi lowers his ERA to 1.63 to take over the SAC lead from teammate Joshua Lanham (1.88).
