Can I Get Help Paying My Winter Heating Bills?

Connecticut residents who are struggling to pay their winter home heating bills can apply for the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program. The application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, June 15, 2021, so that eligible families and individuals have additional time to apply for this much-needed assistance.

The previous deadline dates of May 3 and May 14 have been combined into a single, new deadline of June 15 for all households, regardless of type of heat used in residents’ homes. Benefits awarded are sent directly to the utility company.
