Isaiah Thomas is looking to revitalize his NBA career, and he has got his eyes on the Warriors.
The free agent point guard tweeted Sunday morning that he needs "that Warriors action," and doubled down on the notion of coming to the Bay Area a few hours later.

The Warriors will need to find veterans willing to take minimum contracts for the 2020-21 NBA season, and the two-time NBA All-Star could be the perfect point guard to back up Steph Curry.
Thomas spent the 2019-20 NBA season with the Washington Wizards and earned $2.32 million, according to Spotrac.com. In 40 games, the 31-year-old averaged 12.2 points and 3.7 assists in 23.1 minutes.

After breakout seasons with the Boston Celtics in 2015-16 and 2016-17, Thomas was set to cash in during free agency. But injuries derailed those hopes, and the Celtics traded Thomas to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving in a stunning offseason deal in 2017.
Thomas hasn't been the same since 2017, but the Warriors have a recent track record of helping players re-establish their careers. Shaun Livingston came to the Warriors in 2014 and found a home in the Bay Area. JaVale McGee arrived as somewhat of a joke around the NBA, and he fit in perfectly with the Warriors. He was able to parlay his two seasons with the Warriors into a free-agent contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.
DeMarcus Cousins was supposed to be the Warriors' latest and greatest reclamation project, and while he played well after recovering from his ruptured Achilles, he got hurt in the playoffs and again during the offseason. Cousins signed a one-year contract with the Lakers, but was released during the season.
Other veterans like Leandro Barbosa, Zaza Pachulia and David West came to the Warriors in the twilight of their careers and found success.

There are some fans who think the nine-year NBA veteran should just retire. Thomas is having none of that.

Assuming he can stay healthy, Thomas has plenty of good years left in the NBA, and there might not be a better team than the Warriors for him to prove it.
