Big Bird, Elmo and Abby Cadabby are back to help children cope with the pandemic.

In a second town-hall presentation, characters from “Sesame Street” and CNN are teaming up for “The ABCs of COVID-19” Saturday morning (7 a.m. PT; 10 a.m. ET, May 30, CNN).

Hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Erica Hill, along with Big Bird, the program is designed to help children and parents understand the latest developments surrounding the coronavirus crisis. It will tackle issues such as summer safety, play dates, schooling and how kids and families around the world are creatively coping during these challenging times.

The 60-minute town hall will feature experts and “Sesame Street” characters — including Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Rosita and Grover — answering questions submitted by families.

Also featured: Olympic gold medal gymnasts Laurie Hernandez and Simone Biles, Dr. Amy Acton, director of Ohio’s Department of Health, and Dr. Sonja Santelises, CEO of Baltimore City Schools.

“The ABCs of COVID-19” builds on Sesame Workshop’s Caring for Each Other initiative, which provides free resources for parents and families during this crisis, and is powered by the nonprofit’s Critical Needs Response Fund. Viewers can support this crucial source of flexible funding, designed to meet the urgent needs of children and families, by visiting SesameWorkshop.org/response or texting SESAME to 51555 during the broadcast

“The ABCs of COVID-19” will stream live for subscribers on CNN.com’s homepage and across mobile devices via CNN’s apps for iOS and Android. It can also be viewed on CNNgo (at CNN.com/go on your desktop, smartphone, and iPad, and via CNNgo apps for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, SamsungSmart TV, Chromecast, and Android TV).

The special will also be available on demand to subscribers via cable/satellite systems, CNNgo platforms and CNN mobile apps.
