Rao’s Homemade, a Montclair-based brand of Italian-style foods that incluides sauces, pastas, soups and frozen entrees, is bringing back its charitable cooking series #Sauce4Cause, an Instagram Live cooking series first was launched in April 2020.
For every view on its Instagram Live videos, featuring celebrity chefs whipping up meals with Rao’s Homemade products, the company is donating the cost of one meal to Jersey Cares.
JerseyCares is a nonprofit organization that recruits and engages volunteers to address community-identified needs. The fundraiser will benefit the organization’s COVID-19 relief fund.
The series is committing to donate up to $100,000 to Jersey Cares.
This year’s program will feature four culinary stars, starting with actress Busy Phillips hosting a summer brunch including a demo of her Bloody Mary recipe and her summer frittata.
The remaining lineup includes:
- August: TV star Kardea Brown cooks up fall comfort food by putting a Southern spin on a classic Italian dish.
- September: Chef and cookbook author Serena Wolf offers a one-pot chicken parmesan recipe Rao’s says is for easy after-school dinners.
- December: A surprise guest will share a favorite family holiday recipe.
