FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne's NBC) - A Fort Wayne mother is asking for your help to try to find her son, who's been missing for almost two weeks.
Damond Meriwether, 28, was last seen on July 14 possibly wearing dark colored shorts and a green T-shirt.
Family members spent Saturday afternoon hanging flyers to help try to find their loved one. His mother, Monica Reese, said the last two weeks have been difficult.
"I don't know where my son is and I'm scared," Reese said.
Reese said the last time she saw Damond was on July 12 and she said he was seen leaving a Whitley County truck stop on the July 14.
"It's more concerning and it's more difficult," Damond's aunt Marvella Raines said. "He's been digressing daily and this is the longest time that we've not been able to have contact with him."
Damond's family said he hung out frequently near Lawton Park, which is why they put flyers in the area.
"He's a sweet sweet guy," Reese said. "He's just going through a lot right now and he just needs help to find his way home."
Fort Wayne's NBC News reached out to the Fort Wayne Police Department and is waiting to hear back.
Damond's family asks anyone with information to give the department a call at 260-427-1222.
Reese said she's planning on putting up more flyers on Sunday and urges everyone to get involved.
