The deadline to apply for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for those impacted by the recent wildfires is Monday November 16th.
Nate Custer of FEMA said that includes people in Douglas and seven other counties. Applicants can go to: https://www.disasterassistance.gov/, use the FEMA app or call 800-621-3362. The toll-free hotline operates from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. seven days a week.
