SAN JOSE – South Bay authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding two 16-year-old San Jose girls who went missing last week.
The friends – Diana and Cynthia – were last seen in Gilroy on Friday with a small brown dog, according to a flier circulated by the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

Diana is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes and Cynthia is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
The girls are considered “at risk” due to their age and because they have no prior history of running away, said Sgt. Michael Low.
Low said detectives received information the girls might be somewhere in Southern California, possibly Santa Monica. The sheriff’s office has notified local authorities.
Anyone with information about the girls’ whereabouts can contact the sheriff’s office at 408-808-4400.
